Anamaria Marina is a Romanian actor. Her debut on screen was Sex Traffic, a Channel 4 film for which she received the British Academy Television Award as the best actress. Speaks French, German, English and Romanian fluently. Her mother played the violin and her father is a professor of theater at one of Romania's best theater schools. Won the Best Female Actor of the Year 2000 Award in the Young Actor Gala Mangalia. In 2008, the European Film Promotion Board recognized her as a European Shooting Star. In 2007, she starred in the Romanian film 4 luni 3 saptamani si 2 zile (4 months, 3 weeks and 2 days) by Cristian Mungiu, which received the Palme d'Or at the 2007 Cannes Film Festival and two other prizes (the Cinema Prize of the French National Education System and the FIPRESCI award). In addition, she appeared as an infant in the film of Francis Ford Coppola's Youth Without Youth. The role she played was Yasim Awar in BBC's 5-episode The Last Enemy miniseries. Marinca has appeared in Oliver Hirschbiegel's Five Minutes of Heaven and the Romanian drama Boogie. In the following year, she was a major role in 2014's Fury in which she portrayed Irma her German maternal aunt to Emma.
