Awkwafina
American musician and actor Awkwafina debuted with sly hip-hop tracks that addressed racial identity and sexuality with boldly comedic perspective before expanding her reach into Hollywood. Nora Lum, born in Forest Hills Queens to Chinese and Korean immigrants, was her first musical experience. She performed on the trumpet. In the following years, she took up the classical and hip-hop genres. In college, she studied writing and women's studies. In addition, she spent some time learning Mandarin during her time in Beijing. It wasn't until she began focusing on music until the time she completed her degree. After gaining viral fame via the Internet the My Vag song My Vag was a reaction to the song of Mickey Avalon's My Dick. It eventually was included on the debut album Yellow Ranger. Some other hits that went viral included queef, a body positive song and the winking NYC Bitchethe hometown tour for $. The single that debuted was directly connected to The Awkwafinas Guide to NYC, her guide to travel in 2015. As a musician and an author in her portfolio, she decided to determined to pursue an actor for a third venture. Apart from the early television shows such as Girl Code and Tawk, she has also been featured in films like Neighbors2Storks as well as Bad Rap. In 2018 she landed major roles in a variety of high-profile films such as Dude Ocean's 8 and Crazy Rich Asians. In June, she released the EP In Fina We Trust.
